Strategically manage projects, programs, and processes so they meet the business objectives and goals of the department. Ensure function is handled and tasks are completed on time and on budget. This position supports the Vice President of Public Relations with all administrative duties in a busy PR dept.
Collaborate with fashion editors to fulfill daily sample requests.
Develop, foster, and maintain strong editor relationships; daily communication expected.
Facilitate blogger relationships to include but not limited to coordinate mailings, blogger outreach, and order clothing and accessories daily.
Oversee master list of all contacts and update as needed. Research celebrity contacts.
Coordinate celebrity orders and mailings.
Monitor online and print industry publications daily for coverage. Tracking magazine credits and updating Excel document of press hits.
Order and monitor traffic samples for each season. Partner closely with merchants for product information and special orders.
Own sample closet organization – change seasons as appropriate, track style numbers, remove dropped pieces from the line.
Create, utilize, and maintain reports- spreadsheets, databases, - i.e. Meltwater and Fohr Card
Manage PR Interns – Oversee flow of samples and coordinating sample closet
Drive the planning and coordination of Editor Days by supporting VP with production, editor invites, coordination of look book email blast, and hands-on event help.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ experience in Public Relations
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Highly efficient in Excel, Power Point and Google Docs
Ability to create and foster strong business relationships with all levels.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
PC proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to be resourceful and troubleshoot, as well as flexible and collaborative.
Ability to be a self-motivator, proactive, and able to take direction.
