DESCRIPTION:
Company Radio Michigan is seeking an experienced sales professional to develop, strategize, write, submit on deadline and ultimately win government public outreach campaigns within the state of Michigan and surrounding regions. This includes state, county and city agencies and/or departments. Region includes statewide campaigns including the major Metro/DMAs- Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne. Campaign media assets may include radio, TV, out of home, digital, events, in English and other languages as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Cultivate and grow relationship development at the state government and local city and county agency level with key decision makers;
*Identify and strategically partner with technically qualified Advertising agency partnerships;
*Work in a fast past environment with the ability to meet quick deadlines;
*Demonstrates the ability to write concepts and ideas thoroughly;
*Proven project management skills and detailed documentation
*The ability to uncover new projects, cold call and be a "detective" to find the funding is a must for success.
*Expectations of the candidate will be to grow revenues in the department and assist the oversight and execution of all campaign elements;
*Work side by side with the Government Execution Team.
*Monitor government websites to find new opportunities.
*Identify new trends in marketing and public outreach to enhance campaign proposals and effectiveness.
*The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a team and is solution based work approach;
*These individuals are also held accountable for achieving contract award goals, revenue goals, successful campaign execution, invoicing and collections on the accounts contracted and billed, with similar requirements and expectations as an Account Executive within Company Radio when it comes to media campaign management and oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
*Sales experience is required - A combination of outside, inside or media sales experience is preferred;
*The successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiations skills.
*Deadline management is critical. Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
*Must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
*Active problem-solving and analytical skills
*Solid understanding of media terminology and market delivery analysis
*The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
*College degree preferred
