Company Enterprise seeks a Program Manager - for the Testing and Deployment team. The Program Manager is a well-rounded Program/ Product/ Operational leader, with proven knowledge of enterprise-level telecommunications platforms, solutions and workflows.
The Testing & Deployment (T&D) team is responsible for validating that new Platform and/ or Product solutions can be successfully deployed and supported by all the impacted Operational Teams in all Charter foot prints, who are responsible for the Sale, Order Creation, Design and Fulfillment aspects of complex Enterprise orders.
Operational Readiness Testing follows successful completion of QA and System Readiness testing.
Focus of ORT is on:
The end-to-end Lead-to-Cash life cycle of an Enterprise Customer order
Validation of processes, workflows and supporting user documentation
Confirmation of Operational Readiness of all functional stakeholder teams as an input to the decision to Launch
The Program Manager will be responsible for designing, planning and executing test approaches, customized to each specific Project Scope and System and Operational impacts. For this position, the initial area of focus will be on supporting Enterprise Voice solutions, including Voice Trunks and Hosted Voice features and workflows.
To execute test plans, the Program Manager partners directly with the SME’s and end-users who perform the affected tasks on a daily basis.
In order to be successful, the Program Manager has to enjoy building and working with a large network of internal customers and stakeholders, in both technical and non-technical roles. The ability to quickly become familiar with all aspects of complex order workflows, supporting architectures and systems is a key attribute of this function.
Primary Job Functions
Build and maintain partnerships with Operational and Business leads responsible for defining and executing complex Company Enterprise orders, and gain an understanding of the role each team plays in the Enterprise Order flow.
Design, review and document test approaches, customized to each Platform or Product release.
Provide LOE’s and build schedules for the proposed and approved test plans.
Manage the Discovery, Planning and Execution phases of one or more testing efforts.
Document Defects and Issues found during testing, and partner with owners to drive to resolution.
Keep customers and leadership informed of status and progress by means of status reports, reviews and documented highlights.
5-10 years of experience with mix of Data/ Network/ Telecommunications
Experience managing projects through the software development life cycle
Experience with software and product testing and launch processes
Well-rounded Program/ Product/ Operational leader, with proven knowledge of enterprise-level telecommunications platforms, solutions and workflows.
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Enjoys ongoing learning of new product features, technologies, architecture solutions and team structures
Ability to innovate, improvise, adapt and respond with agility and flexibility to changes in status or priority
Strong networking skills; enjoys identifying and working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization; builds strong relationships with partner teams and internal customers.
Excellent written communication skills
Education and Experience:
Masters or Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge of/ experience with Order-to-Cash workflows and supporting tools (E.g. Salesforce or similar platform).
Experience with designing, executing and supporting enterprise-level test approaches and plans
Experience leading large complex projects working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Prior hands-on experience in an Operational role a plus (.e.g. Sales, Sales Engineer, Order Management, Field Operations)
Knowledge of Voice products and supporting platforms and architectures a plus
Experience with/ knowledge of Process Engineering/ Operational workflows a plus
