The Program Director provides leadership and strategic direction for the implementation, growth and quality of Alzheimer's Association programs and services in the Chapter territory. With an emphasis on volunteer delivery of programs, the Program Director will focus on increasing the utilization of care and support services, engaging with key decision makers in the community for greater reach. Additionally, the position is responsible for increasing partnerships with healthcare systems and long term care communities.
This position can be based out of any location in Montana, preferably in the Western region of the state.
This pay range for this position is $47,100-$73,000 with a mid point of $60,050.
Lead the Chapter’s care and support strategic initiatives, tactics and measures in order to increase reach, access to a timely diagnosis and quality care.
Lead the development of plans to expand program reach, with special attention to increasing participation among minority, high risk and underserved populations.
Provide leadership for the delivery of all programs and services including planning, budgeting, program evaluation and adherence to program standards and reporting processes.
Implement a strategy to recruit, engage and manage volunteers to deliver Association education and support programs.
Leads staff in the achievement of the objectives to improve diagnosis, disclosure and care, through a consultative and collaborative approach to Health Systems that increases the uptake of effective clinical practices.
Develop strategic, sustainable community partnerships that advance the chapter mission, expand program reach and increase program delivery.
Lead staff in the cultivation of relationships with long term care organizations with an emphasis on the implementation of the Association’s Dementia Care Practice Recommendations.
Collaborate with the development team to create new funding streams for program expansion.
Practice compliance with Core Services Quality Evaluation Initiative for education programs.
Manage data collection, direct client service delivery needs and up-to-date support group and education information.
Cultivate and recruit supporters for chapter fundraising events like Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day. Generate volunteer, media stories and fundraising opportunities for Development Team.
A Master’s Degree in public health, social work, healthcare management or related field. A combination of a Bachelor’s Degree and related experience may be considered
A minimum of five years of progressive experience with program delivery and management
A minimum of three years of experience managing staff and volunteers
A minimum of two years of experience working for or with health systems, or other healthcare industry experience
Experience in volunteer management, supervision and support
Experience in services delivery and quality program evaluation
A solid understanding of relevant aspects of health systems operations, such as quality improvement, person-centered care, access to care and payment and policy issues
Ability to work with diverse populations, including persons with dementia, family caregivers, corporations, foundations and volunteers
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal and public speaking
Ability to cultivate productive working relationships with decision-makers in health care organizations, community based organizations, and long-term care settings
Ability to produce outcomes in a data driven environment
Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to travel as needed to perform job duties
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
