This position is located in Garnett, KS at the Sheep farm, work Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and some weekend work.
How will you make an impact?
Responsible for obtaining blood donations, caring for and maintaining the sheep. Maintains related farm property, equipment and facilities.
What will you do?
Arrive to work on time and adhere to your assigned work schedule
Perform overtime work as necessary to meet business needs
Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and basic healthcare
Perform daily production tasks including: equipment set up, maneuvering sheep into holding pens/chutes, performing blood draws, and post-production sanitation
Accurate completion of regulatory and compliance records
Help with general farm upkeep of fence lines, drainage ditches and lawn
Perform repairs of house and farm buildings
Provide weekend care for animals including feeding, watering, and basic healthcare on a rotating basis
Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs as needed, following safety protocols
Routinely check premises to ensure safety and security are maintained
Use hand-held machinery, such as grinder, drill, and weed eater for routine farm upkeep
Listen to and follow written and verbal instructions given in the English language
Complete successful aseptic technique training
Report all existing or potential safety hazards to leadership or HR
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
How will you get here?
Possess technical training or at least 2 years related farm experience and mechanical experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or licensure/certification.

Must be able to communicate, both written and verbally, using the English language.
Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and/or verbal English communications.
Must be physically able to tip chutes and work in a farm environment.
Must be attentive to animals and their wellbeing.
