The WM Banking Strategy and Controls Executive is a key member of the senior management team, reporting into the Head of WM Cash Management and Card Strategy team. You must have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic. The goal of the Strategy and Controls position is to drive the communications and execution of the banking strategy to achieve growth plans.
Serves as the point person for the coordination of Card and Deposits long-term strategy
Prepares key presentations; Prepares the leader for key meetings, overseeing the preparation of relevant materials and talking points
Partners with key consumer product management partners on strategy and execution of banking products
Coordinates and drives effective management routines and communication process/activities in support of Merrill and Private Bank Wealth Management
Oversees controls processes, partners with consumer product management, Front line units and Controls partners to manage risk
The creation and ongoing support of monthly management reporting.
Continuous improvement around responsible growth and operational excellence
Required Skills and Experiences
Ability to influence and effectively challenge senior leaders across the enterprise to challenge the status quo, produce appropriate changes and implement goals
Effectively and efficiently coordinates and drives execution of key priorities- supports and drives critical decisions with ability to manage multiple stakeholders to reach agreed upon solutions
Ability to step into senior leadership meetings and serve as a proxy to the head of Head of WM Cash Management and Card Strategy team.
Partner with internal/external marketing and communications partners across Consumer and Wealth Management teams to deliver consistent messages
Proven business operations experience
Proven senior leader with 10+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, and preferably with external consulting experience
Strong analytical and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BSBA/MBA or equivalent
