Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Company has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.
We have an immediate position for an Associate in the Wealth Management Strategic Vendor Program. The Private Banking Operations Vendor support team aims to identify and deliver material efficiency and risk reduction savings whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer experience. The Associate will be a member of the Operations division and will perform a variety of tasks to help design and implement the vision for the team. Specific assignments will depend on the size and complexity of the project.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Director level responsibilities will include:
Leading small and medium-scale projects with multiple vendors
Ability to identify opportunities in supplier expense or to gain operational efficiencies while managing risk
Communicating with senior management teams to escalate/resolve project conflicts & needs
Partnering with Operations and Technology stakeholders to gain buy-in for various initiatives
Partnering with the Senior Management team at the Divisional level in implementing financial goals
Responsibility for support of the WMG Supplier Chain
Key focus on risk mitigation and reporting across programs assigned, as well as support for reporting across WMG Operational Risk, Firm wide Operations and WMG Business
Proactively identifying and managing issues to full resolution
Developing objective, data driven recommendations wherever possible
Managing issues and decisions to timely resolution
Qualifications & Skills Required
More than 5 years of experience in project management, process engineering or strategy within financial services or operations environment
Problem solving skills: The candidate must have sound process engineering/ diagnostic skills. This includes the ability to quickly ascertain the root cause of an issue and develop precise, robust and actionable solutions. The candidate must also have the ability to identify complex risks early and develop actionable mitigation plans
Analytical skills: The candidate must be highly analytical with experience in using objective data to drive strategic recommendations. Experience of collecting, analyzing and synthesizing large data and complex data sets using commonly available tools (e.g. Excel, Access, Business Objects) is essential
Communications skills: The candidate must be able to concisely explain complex issues. The candidate must also possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skills
Client management and teamwork skills: The candidate must have demonstrated ability in being flexible and working with stakeholders and colleagues at all experience levels
Project management skills: The candidate must have the ability to create practical and comprehensive implementation plans and partner with all levels of management and stakeholders to gain consensus Experience of using standard project reporting and tracking tools is essential
Must possess college degree
Experience within a wealth management or investment banking environment is highly desirable
