Company is looking for a customer obsessed, results-oriented candidate to join the AWS Disaster Response team. In this role, you will develop and lead programs and investments across multiple geographies, to support AWS’s Disaster Response program goals, including the AWS Diagnostic Development Initiative. The candidate must have experience working with business, health and technical leaders to develop and execute programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong program management background, with experience building relationships with internal and external business partners. The candidate will lead projects involving teams across AWS, and communicate results to leaders and key stakeholders. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, with the skill set to drive tactical execution of multiple programs. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead execution of innovative initiatives to support AWS’s Disaster Response Program, working with teams across Company.
Execute programs that support efforts globally.
Measure and analyze the impact of existing and future program initiatives, and effectively communicate to key decision makers and leaders.
Advise on program priorities and standards relevant to AWS and our customers.
Represent AWS at disaster-focused external events.
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
8+ years of experience in corporate or public sector program management and/or consulting
8+ year experience managing and analyzing program data
5+ years leading program development from idea to execution
Master’s Degree (MBA/MS)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high energy environment where strategic and tactical activities are expected to be driven in parallel
Demonstrated experience executing programs involving cross-functional teams
Experience communicating results and recommendations to leadership teams
Ability to self-direct and prioritize effectively to manage multiple simultaneous, constantly evolving programs
