The Instrument, Pricing & Common (IPC) reference data change team helps Firm wide lines of business adopt centrally sourced instrument and pricing related reference data. Projects can be related to onboarding new subscribers, or helping an existing subscriber increase or improve their use of the utility. The team is seeking Project/Change Managers who will contribute to key projects in this portfolio.
Pricing Operations Change Manager will be responsible for driving, leading and managing strategic and tactical changes & transformations for Global Pricing Operations. This role will drive collaborative partnership with impacted Operations, Product & Technology teams to ensure the success of each project, ensuring completeness of business requirements, clear understanding of operational impacts and resolution of operational issues related to the requirements raised. A successful individual for this role should able to:
Complete key projects and change initiatives to achieve efficiency targets for the financial year
Support client on-boarding, client & market driven change requests
Generate and implement process improvement ideas
Get positive 360 degrees feedback by clients and stakeholders
Demonstrate increased SME knowledge of pricing applications and product knowledge
This role will primarily focus on capturing requirements from stakeholders, maintenance of the Book of Work, planning and prioritizing requests and managing testing. The role will also require additional Project Management activities like tracking, monitoring, leadership, management and/or participation of the full lifecycle for each project, providing updates to the project teams on the status of the testing activities, as well as writing test scripts, and overseeing testing execution. The role will include working with the subject matter experts to confirm requirements and to provide feedback on potential impacts as well as the coordination of training & communications between the project and operations teams. The individual will be:
Responsible for executing Ops Change book of work
Liaise with various stakeholders such as Operations, Clients, Vendors, Technology partners, Product, etc,
Provide subject matter expertise support to our stakeholders
Perform role of Business Analyst for projects, helping define scope of requirements for the change request
Perform element of project management, being responsible for coordinating various teams’ efforts in completing a change request
Perform functionality testing on change requests
Assist in the development of processes automation using VBA, Xceptor, etc
Participate in regular meetings with management to rank priorities, discuss ongoing changes, etc.
Contribute to ongoing developments of the pricing control process.
Ad-hoc project work as directed.
The role envisages managing and executing projects which lead to enhancements in pricing product, service delivery, process-efficiency. This includes:
Managing new requests, setting priority, involving various stakeholders, aligning key dependencies and managing expectations accordingly. Running biweekly all-hands call to discuss new requests and give updates on existing items, as well as running periodic review of book of work with senior Ops management
Managing client on-boarding / implementing client change requests, determining operating model, familiarizing operations with client asks, establishing procedures and making all relevant changes and seamless implementation.
On-boarding new vendor products / implementing vendor changes which would entail conversation with vendor and vendor management teams, evaluating cost and benefits, interacting with technology.
Drafting test scripts and test scenarios for application changes, publishing status of application changes, updating scorecards, ensuring seamless implementation of any tech changes.
Assisting operations team in smooth running of processes by compiling runbooks, planning for holiday processes, identifying opportunities for productivity etc.
Assist operations in identification and mitigation of identified risks through self- assessments (RCSA), prepare and plan to remediate risks, implement the plans, provide walk-throughs to controls / auditors and get the control procedures implemented.
Qualifications, Skills & Desired Experience
Bachelor or Master’s degree with preference in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or business related discipline
8-10 years of experience as a respected leader in finance / banking operations / back-office with 4+ years of Asset Pricing or Fund Accounting experience
Experience in securities reference data with knowledge of mutual funds, accounting, custody, market pricing. Knowledge of local and global markets with understanding of products like equities, derivatives, fixed income securities etc. Awareness of market nuances like clean / dirty pricing, inflation linked securities etc.
Knowledge and understanding of core FA and pricing systems & strategic platforms like Puma and WINS etc. and familiarity with pricing vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Reuters, ICE etc. is a huge plus
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint). Ability of data analysis and presentation skills
Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and can drive change through innovation. History of working on multiple initiatives simultaneously, expectation setting, and escalation of issues, where appropriate
Analytic and investigative mindset, dedicated to continuously improving processes with ability to think strategically and partner with diverse teams to drive efficiency and process enhancements
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments
Experience working in a matrix and across various regions a plus
Execution skills to drive and implement change with a sense of urgency and Client service delivery
Risk identification and mitigation
People skills including influencing and negotiation skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
