Position Description:
Position Purpose:
This position will have primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of project planning dashboards to determine financial performance. The business analyst will develop and publish dashboards to track plan, forecast, and actuals related to monitoring time, scope, and budget of SPP approved projects, issue rates, readiness, and utilized MET hours. This allows the Project Planning team to optimize their productivity and make sound, effective decisions based on consistent, accurate information
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
25%- Evaluate reporting needs as determined by Directors and Sr. Planning Managers. Scope out development required and develop
25%- Train project planning team on project reporting requirements, cadences, uses, etc.
25%- Publish standardized reporting to the team on a routine bases
25%- Ad hoc investigative reporting to drive business management improvement
Nature and Scope: This position reports directly to the Director of ISE Project Planning.
This position has no direct reports
Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Work Experience Required: 1
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communications skills, presentation and facilitation skills
Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
Highly organized.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities at once.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
