Reporting to Head of Sales, effectively implement marketing strategies of Company Education Africa
Objective:
Oversee the implementation of sales and marketing activities in line with market needs and timelines in order to increase sales and market share in the PEA markets.
Job scope and context:
Channel, Department and Service Level. Office based with regular Regional travel and with unpredictable deadlines.
Skills and knowledge needed:
Knowledge of marketing theory, market research, relationship-building, educational publishing industry, product knowledge, workshop facilitation, reporting writing, presentation skills, budget monitoring and control, project planning and management, Event Coordination MS Office.

Key Duties:
Develop an annual marketing plan
• Creating Awareness of Company Brand and titles through suitable marketing strategist channels.
• Supporting the Company business through effective corporate communications
• Key conference and exhibition attendance scheduled
• PEA Website updated and contains relevant information
• PEA Product training planned and delivered
• Sales conferences planned and delivered
• Workshop content reflects teachers’ needs: Trainers equipped with relevant workshop delivery skills
• Maintaining Productive relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
Maintain on-going contact with publishing and creative services
• Involvement at signing sessions, commissioning, product differentiation and conceptualisation, divisional meeting
• Marketing/promotion are built into pre-publishing process
• Series differentiation understood by publishing
• Print runs reflect market needs
• Viable products are authorised
• Appropriate product defined and opportunities communicated
• Liaise with finance and operation
• Gratis copies available as required
• Overheads ratio for Marketing (inc gratis) maintained as defined in budget guidelines
• Manage costs against approved budget
• Develop and manage costs control mechanisms.
• Stakeholder Relations
• Maintain on-going contact with publishing and creative services
• Involvement at signing sessions, commissioning, product differentiation and conceptualisation, divisional meetings
• Marketing/promotion are built into pre-publishing process
• Series differentiation understood by publishing.
• Print runs reflect market needs
• Viable products are authorised
• Appropriate product defined and opportunities communicated
• Employee Resourcing and Management
• Evaluate structure and resourcing levels and recruit talented employees.
• Identify training needs and implement development plans
• Manage performance, discipline and employee relations
