The Payroll Accounting Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and enhancing internal controls across all payroll related functions. This individual will be responsible for performing ongoing audits of upstream and downstream processes for internal and external business partners (including 3rd party providers) to ensure control effectiveness and identify and mitigate risk. Scope includes all US and non-US payroll processing and the related accounting and reporting requirements. This individual proactively:

Ensures compliant, effective, and efficient payroll processing and reporting

Audit payroll processes, including process inputs and outputs from / to various internal stakeholders and 3rd party providers, to ensure accurate and timely pay delivery.
Proactively identify risk and recommend and implement appropriate system, process and procedural controls.
Provide controllership best practice expertise and ensure controls are appropriately documented.
Facilitate trend and issue analysis to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities
Report and communicate metrics for processes and ensure accuracy and timely performance.
Provide support for compliance requirements that have a direct effect on payroll processing.
Communicate effectively across all functional teams to garner collaboration to drive process improvements.
-Provide subject matter expertise and project management skills to support the implementation of payroll processing in new countries / entities.
Ensures accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Monitors and develops procedures to accommodate operational and policy changes.
Manages and oversees ongoing internal audit inquiries and external audit processes.
Ensures adherence to corporate policies regarding internal controls.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Education Level:Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Field of Study: Accounting
Certifications:CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
Generally requires 6-9 years related experience
accounting and payroll experience with medium to large company or employee base strongly preferred
Audit experience strongly preferred
Strong team building, partnership and relationship management skills
SAP HR/Payroll, ADP, Kronos, Workday experience preferred
Excellent spreadsheet and data mining skills
Expertise with Microsoft products: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, along with good writing and presentation skills are desired
