A Teller manages a fund of cash and provides excellent customer service to customers while performing a variety of transactions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Services customers by processing all monetary transactions.
• Ability to utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines and assist customers in the use of Coin Machines.
• Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct and Service Quality Standards.
• Performs duties related to balancing individual cash and end of day proof. Performs office work as necessary or assigned.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities and makes referrals to platform staff.
• Follows bank established guidelines regarding customer service and delivers excellent customer service in accordance with Valley's mission statement.
• Maintains compliance with Bank's established dress code.
• Assists in community events.
Required Skills:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Basic PC skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Required Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year consecutive cash handling experience.
• Banking experience preferred.
• College Degree preferred.
