We are seeking a packing line operator likely for a back shift.
Must be able to operate and monitor all packing equipment on all packing lines. Performs all required tests and makes adjustments as needed to insure proper packaging of product. Maintains a satisfactory sanitation level in all assigned areas and adheres to all safety regulations and requirements in the plant.
Obtains daily schedules from computer and verifies.
Enter production schedules with proper line codes, bags, etc.
Check bags for clean and proper code.
Check weight of bags every hour and document on weight charts/computer.
Check codes every hour.
Adjust bag sealer for proper bag fold.
Adjust weight of bag when needed.
Operate Data=Treb and know functions, QA, and Maintenance.
Maintain sanitation on line.
Check for proper supplies and suffix.
Put bags in rack.
Change over line to different sizes.
Be able to run two lines per operator.
Notify warehouse of UPC being ran and any line changes during the shift.
Interact as a change over team to achieve 15 minutes or less change over time.
Set up, stock, and adjust top capper, spinwraps and unit load labelers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List job duties which may be important to the performance of the job, but are not principal job functions).
Shutdown clean up (shutting down for weekend).
Un-jam warehouse conveyors.
Count packing supplies on change over.
Empty cardboard recycle bins, band bales and remove from cardboard bundler.
Must be qualified on walker/stacker trucks and narrow aisle lift.
Must be able to push/dump trash buggies.
Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds on a routine basis.
Must have computer skills, including data entry and selection
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of good work attendance, the ability to work well with others, and the willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience (Years/Type) 2 years manufacturing experience. Must be literate and able to calculate totals, percents, and operate some computerized equipment. Must be able to develop a daily work plan and be able to adjust as fluctuations in business dictate.
