Helping patients with eyewear selection and provide lens solutions based on their prescription needs, along with troubleshooting eyewear difficulties. Inspect prescriptions lensometer. Support the optical team with repairs and adjustment, household and inventory.
Examines written presriptions and determine lens specifications.
Select eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings after considering the prescription and the individual's occupation, lifestyle, and facial features.
Measure patients' eyes, including the distance between the centers of the pupils and segment height for multifocal lenses using the Visio Office system.
Send completed vision Rx form through Vision Web/Office Mate.
Adjust the frames properly on individual by reshaping or bending the frame by using various pliers or heating methods.
Repair, adjust, and refit broken frames when requested.
Instruct individuals on wear and care of their new glasses as well as adapting to them.
Order contact lenses using our website (Nassau).
Learn and use the latest dispensing technology, e.g. Visioffice, VisionWeb, for ordering purposes.
Represent Company to the employees and their families, to the industry public, and local Eye Care Professionals (ECPs), in promiting the superior quality of Company products.
Demonstrate an image of excellence, professionalism, and customer service.
Know all Company’s products, technology, and marketing programs and be able to present all of thesee to anyone coming in the optical including:

◦ National accounts and buying groups
◦ Doctors and ECPs
◦ Sales Consultants
◦ Lab customers
Give tours of the Optical.
Support Optical operation
◦ Order Products
◦ Dispense Products
◦ Collect payments
◦ File records
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
2-4 years in a high volume optical optical and/or optical store is required.
Excellent customer service skills, verbal/written communication skills including tactfulness and pleasantness.
Excellent organizational skills and administrative skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
ABOC preffered- ABOC testing required within one year of employment
