As our Digital Operations Manager for our Rebound DC in Indianapolis, you’ll be in charge of inbound/outbound operations teams, inventory process owners, along with leading the daily execution of our newest fulfillment center. This leadership position plays a critical to providing excellent service to Nike consumers while staying true to our Consumer Direct Offense. You’ll lead the Operations team to overall service-level expectations/standards.
This leader must be able to train, coach and develop staff to ensure a premier level of productivity and accuracy. This Manager needs to promote an environment where employees are engaged, empowered and committed to the success of the operation. You’ll identify and evaluate the opportunities within the Operations organization to create efficiencies and improve the consumer experience. You’ll also communicate pertinent trends/themes generated from consumers’ feedback through various nodes to the appropriate business groups. You’ll establish an atmosphere for continued process improvement through the identification and elimination of waste. You’ll be the leader within the operation supporting all value streams for the Digital Consumer.
Furthermore, you’ll participate in the planning and organizational design to support rapid business-growth initiatives. You’ll assess the expansion/addition of tools and training to increase the overall efficiencies of the team. You’ll proactively seek innovative approaches to service recovery efforts. You’ll work with our 3PL supply chain provider and their Operations team to recommend system and process enhancements, define requirements and test/implement solutions. You’ll drive the process and detail around financial budgeting and forecasting for US Supply Chain cost centers. You’ll prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, compare to actual, and partner with the 3PL to all parties are laser focused on exceeding our consumer’s needs. You’ll also review forecast assumptions with the Operations Director and Business Leads/Managers. You'll be responsible for advice on financial implications of business decisions. You'll identify and/or develop relevant management reporting and analytical tools. You'll be responsible for making sure that working capital is efficiently and effectively being used (inventory and AR focus). You'll be responsible for monitoring operating and capital spending against the budget and forecast, ensuring adherence to appropriation request policy and performing a complete ROI analysis. You’ll champion inventory control and drive initiatives and plans for ongoing control within the warehouse. You'll support the Controlling team's ultimate responsibility for the integrity of the financial statements (management and statutory) and compliance with US GAAP.
In addition, you’ll work with our provider and the Operations team to drive the establishment of monthly reporting on detailed DC inventory location issues, capacity usage, on-time and delivery performance.
5+ years’ experience in people management, finance, inventory and/or operations
Strong knowledge of budgeting, investment analysis, economic profit concepts and strategic planning concepts
Ability to establish monthly reporting tools for inventory, costs, DC capacity and delivery performance
Microsoft Office skills
Conduct analysis of workload as to compared to manpower and MHE
Finance, forecasting and cost/claims-tracking skills
Proficiency in SAP
Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to motivate and mentor others within work groups
Partner with business leaders to provide updates on the overall health of the operation
Ability to lead initiatives and conduct Kaizen events
Ensure proper billing practices for gathering all revenue
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them
Good judgment and the ability to be effective in working both within a team setting and independently
Ability to lift and move cartons up to 40 lbs
