We are seeking an Operations Internfor ourCentury City, Los Angeles office. Interns provide support to the client by conducting specific service activities (generally in assurance and tax) and direct client support. They support the services team leaders (generally in assurance and tax) in managing the business functions and growth through marketing activities.
Primary Responsibilities May Include:
Review and organize client incoming tax documents
Assist with intake of tax information and prepare for routing
Ensure all client documents are being tracked and kept current
Organize, scan and process tax documents
Assemble client tax returns following established procedures
Assist team in meeting strict government deadlines
General operational support and other responsibilities/tasks as requested
Assists with the detail work of audits, reviews, some compilations, and other assurance services for clients.
Collects and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress and audit results to supervisors.
Prepares tax returns and reviews with the tax team.
Completes tax related research and special projects as needed.
Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge in one or more industries.
Expands industry knowledge through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.
Minimum Required Experience, Education, and Certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Regular use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, STAR, and Adobe.
Relevant work experience preferred including summer jobs, school jobs, etc.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.
Working towards the achievement of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Achieving credit requirements to sit for CPA exam.
Experience in an administrative role preferred.
