We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to work on Open Source Software (OSS) auditing and reporting. Company embraces the use of OSS, and is investing further to ensure that our use of Open Source (OS) is accurate and that we meet all the licensing terms of the software that we utilize.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be improving the measurement of our progress in reviewing the OSS used in our products.
Provide improved information for developers that focuses them on the OS compliance issues that they need to address.
Provide technical support and consulting for developers performing OSS reviews.
What we need to see:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Proven programming skills, Python strongly preferred, with experience deploying software in a data center on Linux servers is a huge plus!
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Knowledge of OS development, including a proven understanding of OS licensing and compliance.
Experience in developing scripts and analyzing data in a big data environment, and in providing operational support for users.
Experience in Pandas, Jenkins and databases.
Ability to design and implement web pages that effectively convey large amounts of information.
Familiarity with Git and/or Perforce, and software versioning policies used in large development organizations is a plus!
