The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) team is looking for an experienced candidate to drive its global Go-to-Market (GTM) offer development and sales strategy.
As a leader on the T&C GTM Strategy & Programs team, reporting to the T&C GTM Lead, you will have the opportunity to grow and manage a team of GTM offer development and sales strategists. You will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, and launching new AWS T&C offer models, as well as delivering customer focused sales strategies and programs that enable our sales channels to successfully bring AWS T&C products to market.
The ideal candidate has both a sales background that enables him or her to understand and interact with senior sales leaders, as well as a deep understanding of various GTM offer models. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about segment-specific customer needs, and are able to build and convey compelling recommendations for new offer models and strategic sales programs. You have a natural ability to instill excitement and gain respect from the most senior leaders. You can distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks, and possess an uncanny attention to detail. You have a passion for the intricacies of GTM planning and are always looking at the end-to-end experience from the customer’s perspective. You will also have a proven track record of attracting and leading a team of top-tier talent.
Engage with field sales teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for programmatic T&C GTM improvements and offer models that can scale globally
Work backwards, starting with customer outcomes first, to identify and define innovative T&C offer models for targeted customer segments
Develop, test, and launch new T&C offer models that accelerate the reach and velocity of T&C GTM efforts
Create and deliver customer focused sales strategies and programs that enable our sales channels to successfully bring AWS T&C products to market
Manage and monitor the success of new offer models and sales program initiatives, ensuring proper communication and alignment with all stakeholders
Lead and develop a team of top-tier GTM offer development and sales strategists
10+ years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, sales leadership, or business development within the software/technology/training industry
5+ years engaging and influencing senior business leaders
BS/BA in Business or Technology related field of study
Extensive experience in a sales or marketing strategy role, with a track record of consistently improving the customer experience
Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, including sales account management, business development, product management, product marketing, program management, legal, and tax functions
Experience working within the enterprise software and/or education industry is highly desired
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across organizations
MBA from a top-university, or equivalent experience
