Ocular Immunology and Computational Biology Post-Doctoral Position
A postdoctoral position is available to study various aspects of macrophages in the development of posterior segment ophthalmic disease in the Lavine Laboratory at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. Experimental models focus on laser injury, genetically modified mice, and Companies derived from these mice, especially macrophages. The research focus includes the discovering how the innate immune system regulates angiogenesis during age-related macular degeneration.
Highly motivated recent graduates with a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree with a demonstrated strong background in immunology,computational biology, and/or ophthalmology. Applicants with experience in flow cytometry or transcriptomics are preferred. Candidates should have a good command of the English language, should be available for an interview and must be eligible to work in the US.
