NBC Entertainment is looking for a News Researcher to support the day-to-day operations of show production and various departments.
-Research and acquire various video and graphic elements for political news segments.
-Utilize specialized search engines, agency sites, internet, and other research techniques to gather video elements.
-Extensive fact-checking of political news segment scripts.
-Sourcing news content for graphic elements.
-Maintain political calendar.
-Identify any clearance, copyright and standards restrictions for acquired elements and properly license all clips.
-Assist with tracking costs and clearances.
-Other ad-hoc duties as outlined by Manager.
-Bachelors degree required. (Communications, TV/Film Production, or related field of study preferred)
-1+ years of video/stills research and/or production work experience required.
-Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

-Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
-Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
-Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
-Must be 18 years or older.
-Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
-Must have ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings due to news cycles and breaking news.
