DESCRIPTION:
Company Radio is looking for an experienced sales professional to create relationships, develop ideas for and service national clients on a local/regionalized level at the local market. Responsibilities include managing and growing existing national accounts through the rep firm and on a local level; soliciting new business from local contracts of national accounts; and creating relationships with local regional contacts of national accounts. This individual would be representing radio stations across multiple markets and multiple formats.
Responsibilities:
*Oversee and manage all national sales for markets inclusive of all national avails, promotions, and collections; achieve national sales budget for your designated markets.
*Target and contact local and regional contacts for national accounts.
*Work to grow share of national avails and existing business by developing strong relationships at the agency and client level. You will work with the rep firm, but your primary goal will be to develop strong client/agency relationships deep within the accounts.
*Develop relationships with the local and regional contacts for national clients by providing top quality service. Pitch them incremental ideas and grow share by closing business with regional decision makers.
*Responsible for keeping the National Reps informed and updated on market information, research, promotion and events.
*Create ideas and develop proposals for national accounts/clients.
*Work with the national sales assistant to streamline paperwork and facilitate execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years radio and national rep account sales experience.
*Must know how to manage inventory as well as people.
*Position requires a reactive problem solver with a track record of success with agency , direct and event sales.
*College degree in business, marketing, communications or advertising preferred.
*Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research; excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and negotiation and organizational skills required.
*Travel is required.
*Must have valid driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance.
