National Account Manager - Healthcare
The Kimberly Clark Professional National Account Manager Healthcare GPO is responsible for providing exceptional strategic and tactical leadership at the National Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO). This individual is expected to function as the key business partner with GPO’s which represent in excess of $100million in sales. The incumbent will be expected to leverage their experience and influence to direct organizational resources in order to implement or create multiple programs which successfully support the achievement of both business sales and profit objectives.
This position manages activities with complete integrity and in accordance with Corporate and Sector policies, systems, practices and programs.
TRAVEL-Extensive national and regional travel up to 50% of the time is required.
LOCATION-Candidate may be based anywhere in the continental U.S.
Report directly to the Healthcare National Account Leader
Work closely with and establish and maintain highly effective business partnerships with: GPOs and their teams, Healthcare National Account Team members, Regional Corporate Account Managers (R-CAM), Directors of Sales, Regional Managers, Field Sales Organization, Marketing Organization, Distribution Partners (JanSan, MedSurg, Office and others) on the negotiation and implementation of GPO contracts/ programs
Direct Management of assigned GPO (acute, none-acute, LTC or other) and provide collaborative leadership to the R-CAM at the GPO, R-GPO, Collaborative, and all applicable levels
Establish, maintain, negotiate, audit, review and manage GPO contracts and work closely with the legal team and all shareholders both internal and external to ensure success..
Provide timely feedback on objectives, projects, workload, budgets, or other issues that could affect objectives.
Be an active and highly effective member of the leadership team in developing and implementing plans, programs and strategies to supersede or achieve National, segment and Regional objectives.
Appropriately participate in Regional sales meetings to ensure GPO plans are communicated, understood and achieved.
Actively support the development of Regional team members by mentoring new team members and by sharing market segment and KCP knowledge and experience.
Communicate issues or concerns and opportunities that could impact the status of plans, programs, competitive activity, deviations or issues that could affect objectives and/or results.
Possess and maintain expertise on market segment trends and issues by representing Company at trade shows and by gaining membership to related segment associations and actively participating at their functions and other methods.
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum 5 years in-depth healthcare industry and sales experience, with demonstrated successes in prior assignments, proven leadership skills, and high standards of personal integrity
Demonstrable skills and proficiency in personal computer systems and applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. SAP and Sales Company website skills preferred.
Credentialed for Healthcare Sales Calls (Vendormate, Medcomm etc)
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of healthcare distribution channels
Strong oral and written communications skills
Travel by car and airplane required
Evidence of continued personal and professional growth and development
Demonstrated success in the sale of multiple product categories into the healthcare market.
Five or more years of documented sales success and experience in healthcare
Prefer candidate to be in the Top 10% of Sales Force or organizatio
