As a Pathways Direct Hire, you will be placed in a role based on professional experience and business priorities, focused on one of a few areas including: Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking.
To ensure continuous development throughout the program, each candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and support from your individual manager, program manager, veteran sponsor and many other influential business partners across the firm.
In addition to your business role responsibilities, as a Pathways member you will participate in training programs, learning sessions, individual mentoring relationships, and networking events. You will interact with Company Chase& Co. senior management and partner with a military veteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition from military life into our organization. You can also become a member of our Veteran’s Business Resource Group, an employee group that supports veteran causes. And of course, you will have the strong support network of your fellow military veteran colleagues. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you with a network of peers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst fellow veterans as you contribute to a business area aligned to your skillset.
Role Description – Cash Management Solutions Officer
Cash Management Business Banking serves the cash flow needs of businesses with annual revenue between $500,000 and $20 million. The Cash Management Solutions Officer (CMSO) is responsible for identifying, proposing and delivering appropriate Cash Management products and solutions to customers and prospects over the phone. The CMSO plays a key role in the field organization via the phone. Customers and prospects as well as Relationship Managers look to the CMSO to be their trusted Cash Management advisor. The CMSO strives to deliver an exceptional client experience while mitigating risk.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with relationship managers to drive the development of new profitable Cash Management business while maintaining and growing the existing portfolio.
Serves as a trusted advisor, leveraging core knowledge to recommend and promote Cash Management solutions to clients and prospects while working within the risk parameters that protect the bank.
Conveys a professional, knowledgeable and confident demeanor over the phone.
Builds collaborative internal relationships to develop and foster partnerships with assigned relationship managers. Actively participates in partner meetings and communicates key Cash Management messages timely and accurately.
Aligns daily activities to accomplish strategic business objectives.
Engages in a disciplined marketing process and quality call activities. Manages customer expectations by communicating upfront timelines and deliverables. Partners with the client to ensure a successful implementation of Cash Management products.
Protects the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Takes ownership of escalated Cash Management client issues and leverages the appropriate resources to champion results.
Military Veteran Applicant Qualifications
Duration: 12-month development program
Location: Tempe, AZ
Enlisted/Junior Officer background and 4+ years of experience
0-5 years of separation from military service
Demonstrated learning agility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forward thinking and able to work through complex and unpredictable circumstances
Ability to adapt to change and achieve positive business outcomes
Ability to participate in scheduled Induction training April 2020
Business Banking Qualifications
One year experience in Cash Management Marketing or related business experience
General knowledge of Cash Management products/solutions
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
Relationship Building – Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners via the phone. Ability to influence those outside of direct management control.
Marketing Expertise – Ability to leverage knowledge to proactively and creatively present solutions to clients and prospects.
Business Acumen – Ability to understand the overarching Cash Management business environment both internally and externally. Ability to manage business results in alignment with strategic objectives.
Time Management – Ability to establish and consistently follow a disciplined process to plan activities, manage time and accomplish tasks and objectives.
Judgment and Professionalism – Ability to make sound decisions that consider and balance the needs of the customer and the bank. Ability to display professionalism in written and oral communications, both internally and externally.
Drive and Motivation - Ability to demonstrate tenacity, focus, discipline and self impetus to accomplish results.
