The Merchandising Assistant for North America Retail Outlet, Shoes is responsible for the maintenance and delivery of key tools to support the Retail Shoes, RTW, and Sport Buyer ensuring accurate reporting and communication to all partners while concurrently driving the overall Retail business forward.
LINE ASSORTMENT & LINE MAINTENANCE
Creation and Maintenance of key buying assortment tools to ensure accurate communication to key cross-functional partners
Management of buy books for optimal communication of assortment detail updates to stores and rolling product in-warehouse dates for Visual teams
Consistent systemic maintenance of key product attributes
Assist preparation for seasonal market with the creation of boards and pulling/organizing of samples
Aide in the assortment selection process and all key touch points throughout market process
◦ Partner closely with product development team to convey specific merchandising and product updates with accuracy and attention to detail
Help to identify and execute on in season strategies to drive the business
PRODUCTION ORDER & INCOMING RECEIPT MANAGEMENT
Monitor and track incoming product deliveries for each collection as communicated by production team to alert key partners
Daily communication with Retail Operations and Planning team for timely product deliveries in stores
Provide weekly receipt reconciliation recap, gathering information from production and planning teams
WEEKLY SALES REPORTING
Responsible for pulling weekly sales in Microstrategy and/or S5 for Shoes, RTW, and Sport in North America, including regional and individual store level analysis
Analyze the business to gain an understanding of prior performance and develop future goals
ORDER ENTRY AND PRICING
Manage the purchase order process both in Market and on an ad-hoc basis..
Submit change forms post market to customer service team to ensure PO’s are updated
Responsible for maintenance of entering all promotion and pricing updates in SAP S4 system (on-going seasonal markdowns or markups, clearance lists, category specific promotions, doorbuster pricing)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES NOT COVERED IN FOCUS AREAS
Maintain consistent organization of samples and sample check-out process, primarily for market (tracking and organizing all incoming SMS)
Responsible for managing process of sending clear communications to store teams via The Link
Partner directly with creative photography team to coordinate seasonal product shoots
Working with the visual teams to communicate buys, signage requests, and manage window/mannequin orders
Competitive Intelligence – Responsible for seasonal recap of trends and marketplace texture for key competitors, luxury players, and social influencers.
Understanding of retail math
Proficiency in Excel. Maintain working knowledge of Word, SAP, EPICOR and Microstrategy.
