About the Role: The Medical Products Division is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Device Operator to support ongoing manufacturing at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. In this role, you will be working with the Bioabsorbable manufacturing team on second shift to manufacture medical devices. The standard work week will be Monday-Thursday 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
Practicing and advocating safety policies
Working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Setting up and operating simple manufacturing equipment
Working with small hand assembled parts
Performing data collection and entry
Manufacturing product with timeliness and accuracy
Making detailed and accurate observations
Adapting and demonstrating flexibility by moving from one manufacturing area to another as needed
Demonstrated experience working with small parts with good hand/eye coordination
Experience working independently and as a member of a large team including experience of being self-directed and motivated
Demonstrated ability to make detailed and accurate observations
Demonstrated superior accuracy in following and creating written instructions and written documentation
Basic math and basic computer skills with the ability to learn more advanced systems
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to positively influence teammates
Flexibility to adapt and change to meet manufacturing needs
Ability and willingness to work the scheduled shift and overtime as needed by the business
Ability and willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and wear cleanroom garments
Ability to learn quickly
Manufacturing experience and/or experience in a regulated industry
Sponsorship and/or trainer experience
History of process improvement and continuous improvement mindset
