Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Company success by managing teams who support customers in all geographies where
Company does business, understanding how each uses master data in systems and business processes.
Models and acts in accordance with Company guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Plays a key role in evolving Company master data competency and building the Company as an industry leader through continuous improvement initiativesManage a team of master data analysts and data administrators. Responsible for day to day operations including: Monitor queue volumes/SLAs, Prioritize work across all files, Makes decisions about shifting resources across files and inspires and engages MDIO partners to be passionate about the importance of master data.
Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews
Oversees the training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions
Provides coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business, and customer results
Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, quality, governance, stewardship, integrity of the five master data files
Reports and analyzes trends within operations area
Drives operational efficiencies in MDIO and contribute to external process improvement initiatives
Identifies and prioritizes enhancements to systems and/or processes to gain efficiencies across Company
Drives creation of policies or standards and ensures compliance
Ensures education and ongoing training are provided for MDIO partners and end-users on programs, procedures and data attributes.
Supports all established team goals and objectives. Apprises manager of team progress and any obstacles.
Represents MDIO mission & objectives
Identifies and escalates initiatives which impacts master data
Responsible for the tactical implementation of strategic master data initiatives
Collaborates with project managers and BSAs on initiatives
Understands the key business processes and goals of our customers/business channels
Apply master data management best practices / industry standards to daily activities
Building strong relationships with the key customers of MDIO including SCO, Marketing/Category, Store Development, Retail Operations, Finance, Accounting, CPG, SBC, Foodservice, Licensed Stores, and Information Technology
Summary of Experience
Understands business processes of all key customers of MD – including differences among regions/global customers
Data management and analysis, 5 years
Management of process reengineering, 3 years
Project leadership and management (or equivalent), 3 years
Progressive experience leading projects or teams in fast paced environment, 3 years
Deep knowledge of source systems, interfaces, and processes relative to master data, 4 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful
outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
High level of knowledge in assigned file area including systems, data, processes including connections
across all master data files
Ability to navigate in an ERP environment
Ability to drive results and track performance
Strong analytical and technical skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to extract and manipulate large amounts of data
Ability to facilitate discussions and document processes
Success leading a cross functional team
Ability to influence up down and across the organization
Success managing a team with diverse skills and duties
