Overview of the Role
As a marketing operations manager, you will work on creating, managing, and executing processes and tasks in support of marketing programs. You will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in content creation, production, and distribution. You will also have tactical responsibilities for various marketing projects and will be expected to facilitate and build working relationships with internal support organizations, including compliance, marketing, and IT. The Marketing Operations Manager will have a clear understanding of clients’ needs, audience and objectives and will liaise between cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects which meet client needs and align with strategic business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, execute, and streamline marketing workflows through ideation, content development, distribution, automation, and reporting.
Streamline processes and integrate multiple systems to increase operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
Use analytics to measure program success.
Serves as the project manager on marketing projects and is the primary contact between key stakeholders for the execution of marketing deliverables.
Documents project and processes requirements. Is able to clearly articulate those requirements to cross functional teams including marketing, compliance, and IT.
Trains and supports marketing staff on technology, processes and best practices.
Ensures all members of a project team understand requirements and perspective and the project aligns appropriately
Ensures projects adhere to prescribed timelines and that key milestones are met.
Assumes additional duties as assigned
Manages marketing traffic manager
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Account and/or project management experience
Excellent project management skills
Ability to lead and/or influence cross-functional teams in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to innovate and systematically improve process through automation
Knowledge and understanding of graphic design, creative and production
Team player with excellent relationship management skills
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and deadlines at once
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Resourceful, pragmatic and solutions oriented
Financial industry experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
5-7 years professional experience in account and/or project management for multiple clients; financial industry experience preferred
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
Typical office environment with telephone, copier, fax machine, calculator
PC usage up to 90% of the time
