Job Description
The Marketing Director leads the strategy and planning of B2B marketing in the UK and for the international supply and demand leadership based in the London office. Their job is to position Company as a leading media technology company, covering all of Company’s brands and advertising products, to both advertiser and publisher clients.
This person leads strategy in partnership with the global marketing leadership, and partnering closely with local stakeholders including the Company UK MD. They must have a thorough knowledge of the UK advertising market, its trends and be able to articulate where Company fits in. They will lead a team who will manage all B2B activations including industry relationships, our in-market presence via major industry programs, proprietary programs, product launches, external communications, client engagement, thought leadership campaigns and branding.
Key responsibilities include:
• Define and position the Company brand(s) in the UK advertising market, to both publishers and advertisers
• Create effective B2B marketing strategies and plans for the UK market and multinational market, that include the following:
◦ proprietary programs
◦ client engagement
◦ thought leadership and research campaigns
◦ new brand and new product launch campaigns
◦ external, digital client facing comms, including social
◦ Industry events and partnerships
• Be an active, present voice on the UK leadership team, partnering and contributing at weekly meetings, planning sessions and offsites
• Lead the international publisher marketing strategy, partnering with the head of international publisher services to agree marketing strategy, and coordinating strategies across multiple international markets, working closely with those marketing leads
• Lead and motivate a B2B marketing team, ensuring high performance and best in class marketing, whilst instilling a culture of fearless, resilient and authentic culture.
• Own the marketing budget to plan, working with finance and the marketing team to ensure best accounting practice
This is a 12 month maternity cover contract role, reporting directly into the senior director of international marketing in the US and matrixed reporting into the MD of Company UK
Qualifications:
• 8+ years experience in Trade/B2B Marketing in digital advertising
• Demonstrable success and results
• Experience in fast moving organisations, and complex, competitive industries
• Thorough understanding of the digital advertising and programmatic landscape
• Previous experience working in an environment of constant change and ambiguity - be comfortable with the "grey areas"
• Proven track record of developing integrated marketing programs
• Strong interpersonal, negotiating and diplomatic skills, fearless, authentic and resilient characteristics
• Substantial leadership experience managing and motivating a cross functional, high performing team
