As the Manager, Supply Chain Solutions & Analytics you will responsible for managing the delivery of supply chain process improvement initiatives through the effective use of Project & Program Management, Business Process Management, and Analytics (developing business cases and performing ROI analysis). You will also drive improvement opportunities through problem definition and structuring, fact gathering and analysis, synthesis of finding into compelling recommendations, stakeholder alignment, presentation to leadership, execution and tracking of progress. Additional innovation responsibilities will include report development (metrics/dashboards and other reporting tools to drive decision making and to support process controls for new/existing process definitions).
What you’ll Do:
Business Analytics Activities: 50% Time Commitment
Gathering and documenting business/technical requirements
Lead business process sessions and documentation of existing workflows.
Facilitate problem solving sessions with business users and present findings to leadership
Facilitate creating and implementing change management strategies
Creating/editing training documentation, as needed
Support end user training sessions and workshops
Establish partnerships in Operations and cross functional areas to support company initiatives
Partner closely with the Information Technology group to work through systems issues and to identify/implement process improvements
Create business test scripts and conduct testing on behalf of the business for system modifications and fixes
Maintain communication with the business on project statuses and issue resolution
Extract and analyze large data sets to proactively identify improvement opportunities and/or unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
Supply Chain Reporting Activities – 30% Time Commitment
Field operation requests; develop technical requirements, and/or write SQL to produce desired report/metric/dashboard in Microstrategy.
Anticipate operational and strategic needs independently and enhance/develop new metrics/dashboards and other reporting tools to drive decision making
Project & Program Management Activities: 20% Time Commitment
Help define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project team and stakeholders
Participates in the prioritization, high-level estimation, and scoping of strategic initiatives.
Contributes to program objectives, setting program priorities, and developing the various technology solutions from concept to reality.
Acts as an expert in the field, uses professional skills to address critical issues and broad design matters.
Displays strong partnership values in the approach and delivery of projects
Develops strong working relationships at senior management levels to ensure overall project satisfaction and to manage expectations regarding functionality and deliverables.
Ensures that all key project issues and risks are surfaced early and resolved in a satisfactory manner.
Ensures that IT is utilized in a strategic manner in concert with appropriate cost, risk, and service level boundaries set for the business.
Communicate and liaise with project stakeholders and other IT teams as defined by the project team
Help define the financial justification of the project and track project spend and well as project savings / cost avoidance
You’ll Need to Have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience developing business and/or technology solutions and managing multiple technical consulting projects.
Business analysis or retail management consulting experience preferred
Subject matter expert in Manhattan WMS solutions (PKMS/WMi preferred).
Ability to read/write SQL and preferred understanding of Manhattan WMS data architecture.
Experience with WCS/Conveyor solutions (Dematic, SSI Schaefer preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP Preferred), Labor Management Systems (Manhattan Preferred), Retail and E-Commerce Platforms, and Business Intelligence tools (Microstrategy Preferred)
Solid understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint
Experience in corporate retail a plus
