We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position ofManager, Marketing Complianceto join our Regulatory Compliance group within the Regulatory Intelligence and Engagement department at Altria Client Services in Richmond, Virginia.
The Manager, Marketing Compliancereviews and provides guidance for designated operating company advertising, promotion and packaging materials to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements, company principles, policies, practices and commitments while achieving business goals.
Develop and execute processes to ensure integrity and compliance for designated operating company packaging, marketing and advertising materials.
Head efforts to review and determine whether brand programs are compliant with all marketing laws, regulations and obligations.
Develop and maintain a marketing compliance training program for internal resources and external advertising & marketing agencies. Conduct training and ensure cross-functional stakeholder understanding of compliance processes.
Assist with compiling and preparing the advertising & labeling materials for bi-annual submission.
Develop and maintain relationships with ALCS marketing lawyers and interact regularly with outside counsel on their behalf to ensure operating companies meet their marketing compliance obligations.
Analyze issues, provide direction and create infrastructure to ensure compliance of advertising and packaging materials.
Provide marketing compliance services for designated operating company international markets.
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience. Strong preference for experience in marketing and advertising in a regulated business environment.
Prefer fluency in Spanish or other foreign languages with business application.
Knowledge and experience understanding, analyzing and applying business related laws, regulations, agreements, statutes and voluntary practices.
Ability to influence, inspire, motivate and resolve conflicts with others with direct and no positional authority. Demonstrated success with those at peer, subordinate and senior levels.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills to interface with management and individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to concurrently manage multiple projects/programs with non-negotiable deadlines.
Strong leadership and relationship management skills with proven ability to meet goals and timelines.
Strong attention to detail.
