Job Title: Mainframe Storage Analyst
This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of the mainframe Storage (disk and tape)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the controlled resolution of incidents and problems including: classification, prioritisation, documentation of root causes/actions and implementation of remedial actions. The role also includes:
knowledge and use of Service First
Ongoing training to gain specialised knowledge of the Storage and hardware infrastructure
The jobholder will be responsible for the implementation of changes to the components of the test and production infrastructure. Also to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the mainframe storage infrastructure.
The successful candidate will ensure that all requests from users for assistance are handled promptly and effectively 24x7 (managed through on-call and standby arrangements once training is successfully completed)
Other activities would involve:
Ensure that the requirements of agreed internal and/or external levels of service are met
Configure the infrastructure as required
Carry out fault diagnosis relating to moderately complex problems, reporting the results of such diagnosis in a clear and concise manner.
Produces IT infrastructure sub-project plans and manage tasks to plan.
Jobholder will be given on the job training in the following if they do not already possess these skills:
IBM DS8886 technology, IBM GDPS and XRC, CA vantage, Intellmagic, CA TLMS, Oracle virtual tape, ZFS extended storage and SL8500/SL4000 libraries, Oracle ELS software. Also tools like Service First, Request, My meeting etc.

What we’re looking for:
Have good knowledge of COBOL, DB2,VSAM, IMS ,CICS,REXX,JCL,DB2 PLATINUM,TWS
Having good knowledge of IBM DS8886 technology
Having good knowledge of IBM GDPS and XRC
Having good knowledge of IBM CA TLMS
Having good knowledge of Oracle virtual tape
Having good knowledge of ZFS extended storage
Having good knowledge of SL8500/SL4000 libraries, Oracle ELS software
Strong analytical / problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organization skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A team player
Skills that will help you in the role:
Excellent Communication skills, articulate and detail oriented.
Maintaining and supporting mainframe software necessary for connecting to the mainframe
Having good knowledge of tools like Service First, Request, My meeting etc.
Where will you be working?

All Pune based roles will eventually start to move to this new campus starting September 2019.
