As Director, Operations/Asset Protection you will lead and direct all operations and asset protection programs in order to drive sales, maximize profitability, control expense and achieve shortage goals. Key responsibilities include: oversight of expense management, shortage program, staffing and scheduling, fulfillment, logistics, credit, inventory, customer service, maintenance and engineering, housekeeping and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Drive and exceed sales goals by developing & executing operations and asset protection strategies, and determine business-driving opportunities.
Play a strong leadership role in identifying operational and asset protection challenges, and provide leadership support to store executive team to execute solutions and initiatives.
Establish high level of shortage awareness and effectiveness determined by audit results; work with store executive teams to ensure all policies and procedures are thoroughly understood and in compliance.
Conduct store visits that focus on implementation of corporate operations and asset protection standards. Develop action plans to bring below standards aspects of the store to acceptable levels.
Manage and monitor internal and external case productivity and recoveries; provide investigations leadership & participation of asset protection initiatives when necessary.
Manage and communicate all incidents with impact to business or brand protection.
Oversee expense/payroll management and inventory shortage control to achieve sales and profitability goals.
Develop, implement and validate new programs and procedures to reduce shortage and investigate internal and external theft.
Ensure strong execution of operations related tasks by AST and SWST.
Role model exemplary service and ensure store teams provide an outstanding shopping experience.
Clearly communicate operations and asset protection objectives to ensure store executives and associates are informed and knowledgeable.
Audit compliance to security policies, procedures, and trainings during store visits.
Supervise stores’ facilities maintenance, safety and emergency protocols and ensure selling floor security standards are maintained.
Drive productivity and achieve high operating standards of store, and ensure merchandise receipts productivity, replenishment, workload planning, and stockrooms are to company standards.
Recruit and develop operations and asset protection executive teams, and foster and support a culture that values retention, career development, and succession planning.
Ensure timely training of rollout of all new Operations & AP initiatives, and reinforce training of existing programs with executives and staff.
Support company diversity initiatives and act as a positive change agent.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
College degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of retail operations and/or asset protection management or related experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instruction documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
Effective prioritizing and time management skills.
This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to build partnerships and direct teams.

Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays based on department/store/company needs.
