The Seasonal Market @ Macy’s Selling Specialist is responsible for helping each brand adapt to the new shopping landscape by providing outstanding customer service, driving sales results, creating an exceptional shopping experience, completing POS transactions, and delivering a clean, neat, and easy to shop environment. The Seasonal Market @ Macy’s Selling Specialist is also responsible for unpacking new merchandise when delivered, assisting in monthly vendor set ups and break downs and replenishing merchandise, as needed. Perform other duties as necessary.
In order to present our customers with the best holiday shopping experience, many of our Seasonal associates arrive prior to store opening and remain after closing to ensure we are ready to make Company magic. Seasonal associates will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule on a temporary basis, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and busy events such as the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. And don't forget - just in time for holiday shopping, you will receive an employee discount of up to 20% starting your first day!
Any schedule hours listed in the job posting title are subject to change based on business needs. All holiday associates may be required to work hours other than those stated in the job posting title on weekends, or on key holiday events such as the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Our goal is to democratize the access to physical retail by enabling creators of innovative products, services and experiences to leverage our Retail as a Service solution to eliminate the challenges and introduce their brand to a new world of customers in our stores.

Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Work with customers to determine their needs and make appropriate product recommendations.
Suggest additional merchandise to compliment customer selection.
Service the customer in a helpful and friendly manner, including sharing product knowledge, making product recommendations, completing register transactions, and enrolling in credit and Loyalty programs.
Invite customers to come back and thank them by name whenever possible.
Familiarize self with all Market brands’ product knowledge.
Complete necessary training for each new brand introduced into The Market @ Macy’s; participate in product education sessions conducted by vendor brand ambassadors.
Be friendly and outgoing towards vendors / owners and brand ambassadors when they visit The Market @ Macy’s.
Support monthly brand conversions. Execute merchandising and reverse logistics tasks timely and accurately to include placement of merchandise to standards, movement of fixtures and merchandise, replenishment to the sales floor and stockroom maintenance and organization.
Collaborate with peers and managers to coordinate merchandise movement needs with other tasks.
Deliver a clean, neat, and easy-to-shop store environment; maintain sales floor and recovery standards.
Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control and compliance procedures.
Perform these functions in an efficient manner; flex between tasks as directed by a supervisor.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail sales experience a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Able to use a calculator.
Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.
This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing.
Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours.
Involves lifting at least 30 lbs.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
May involve reaching above eye level.
Possess a strong sense of urgency.
Must enjoy meeting and interacting with customers and vendor partners.
Possess a thirst for learning and a curiosity for current and future retail trends.
Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team.
Should be comfortable with the use of computers and register / RF equipment.
Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays based on department/store/company needs.
