In this role as the Leave of Absence Specialist, you will:
Process leave of absence (LOA) status changes in Workday, primarily supporting our retail population and acting as LOA back-up for all Canada employees
Handle escalations from our TPA (third-party administrator), managers and employees related to leave cases, accommodations for ADA, advising TPA on proceeding with specialized requests
Tracking unpaid LOA and communicating with the benefits team and serve as back-up on premium billing statements and reconciliations when needed
Monitor the LOA escalation inbox for incoming updates, ADA accommodations, payroll reconciliation, LTD reporting, DCAP updates to benefits.
Assign ServiceNow draft cases to Leaves Specialist according to population
Maintain and pull weekly reports
Responsible for updating knowledge documents and SOPs
Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Human Resources
2+ years of leave administration and case management including 1-2 years within a shared service center or customer service center
Knowledge of FMLA, ADAA, CA-PDL, HIPAA and other state leave regulations
Knowledge of State Insurance programs; such as SDI, Paid Family Leave Insurance in various states
Microsoft Office required, Workday and ServiceNow preferred
Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
