The Market by Macy’s team is passionate about finding new ways for the Macy’s brand to show up to the consumer, our vendors, and our colleagues. We live to challenge the status quo, change minds, and deliver growth as a result. This new team is reimagining the customer experience in Macy’s stores to further engage our existing customers and acquire entirely new ones. Playing off Macy’s strengths, while evolving approaches that have become outdated, the team will develop and manifest a perspective on the future of department store retailing that results in growth and new revenue streams for the company. Through this real-world exercise, the Market by Company team will also derive and model new ways of working that inform how the broader company works. We call our store associates “Storytellers” because much of what they do is telling stories about the products, the brand and the community in which they work.
