Lead Product Owner, Product Costing

The Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Technology Team needs a strong Product Owner with experience working in an agile environment, who will represent the voice of both the customer and Product Management vision to the teams. The primary role of this product owner will be to represent the end-users of the software and ensure it aligns with their requirements by demonstrating working software at the end of each sprint cycle.
The product owner will work closely with the costing product manager, scrum master, technical developers, FlexPLM configuration and business process team members to prioritize the product backlog and ensure the scrum/development team has clear guidance and feedback on the priorities and the features being developed.
•Strong understanding of Product subject matter.
•3-5 years hands-on Costing, Finance or Manufacturing experience using PLM or ERP software (Flex PLM, Wind Chill, SAP etc.)
•Advanced understanding of the Agile principles and methodologies and how they’re applied in workplace culture
•Able to solve complex problems and take a fresh opinion on existing solutions
•Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
•Work with Product Management to define the product, ensure it is integrated into the Program and communicate the vision to the Agile Team(s)
•In-depth understanding of technology systems and the ecosystem the team works in to help team in overcoming roadblocks
•Excellent team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and servant leadership skills
•Effective facilitation skills within teams
•Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
•Experience leading cross-functional work
•Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively
•Ability to anticipate customer needs
•Experience in developing innovative solutions
•Minimum 6 years relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree
•Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, VersionOne preferred
•Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, LEAN, Kanban
•Previous experience as a team lead preferred
•Previous experience working as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst type role supporting finance, supply chain or product development areas
Additional Context for the position-
Nike is implementing a new FlexPLM platform that will support various business functions across Product Creation, Product Development, Cost Engineering, Cost Execution and Costing Standards teams at Nike. The implementation includes a new PLM application with various cost components (material, labor and overhead), a new cost calculation engine and new analytics tools that will provide cost reporting and advanced analytics for the costing teams across Nike.
The Costing track is part of a multi-year product excellence program which includes several different tracks of work:
•Product (Finished goods)
•Materials (Raw materials)
•Costing (Includes Costing for Material, Labor, Overhead and other costs)
•System Architecture and Engineering
