Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Junior Account Executive
POSITION PURPOSE:
Manage and grow sales of existing and potential new accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Negotiate/develop annual sales and stock plans with Distributors. Make recommendations based on trends and opportunities and constantly review results and plans. Work with Senior Account Executives to determine sales and stock ratios. Present additional needs based on analysis. Establish realistic turn and markdown expectations to ensure maximum profitability. Project by door end of season numbers and plan by door sales for future season. Work with Planning to create a six month flow based on door roll-up and beginning of season stock.
Receive weekly numbers to discuss on weekly business calls. Review selling reports, noting the best and worst sellers.
Update open-to-buy based on selling and shipments. Review shipping/orders to make sure everything is being delivered on a timely manner and communicate any problems. Update bookings recap and review bookings to meet target shipping goals.
Update month end open-to-buy. Project future sales, shipments and troubleshoot any future issues. Review all end-of-month reports. Discuss any issues with internal team or management as appropriate.
Present line to Distributors that best represent trend and the vision of the company. Plan and direct presentation of product lines during market. Sell the line based on US Retail buys as well as territorial needs. Check orders to meet booking requirements. Work with Senior Account Executives and Distributors on basic denim replenishment in order to maintain stock levels based on visual needs and sales.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years
