This position is responsible for the business relationship and directing and managing the design, development, release and maintenance of business application systems for business functions. Works closely with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to identify customer requirements and seek opportunities to build solutions based on computing architectures (e.g., client/server, intranet, Web) that improves business processes and supports critical business strategies while educating the workforce about the strategic use of technology in the business. Works closely with development, operations and other IT functional areas that enable multiplatform application development. Collaborates with business-unit management, various IT functional areas and outside consultants to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritize projects and develop and implement systems plans that address the information requirements of the business and adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives. Plans and directs the activities of a group of development managers and their teams aligned by business unit/area who work closely with their customers in defining customer requirements and in designing, developing and implementing business application systems. Serves as general contractor on multiple projects across multiple platforms within the IT organization and with outside or offshore vendors for technology and service support required to meet customer needs for systems. This position will lead the team in the alignment of Agile development to enterprise strategic themes. The candidate will be familiar with best practice and organizational optimization for Agile teams. The candidate will have experience in enterprise platform implementation as well as custom development and subject matter expertise for the verticals represented.

Aligns development objectives to business strategy.
Participates in the formulation and refinement of the company roadmaps as related to strategic themes of the enterprise.
Works with business leadership to align budgets to development execution.
Works with the business and various function managers to ensure project costs and schedules are properly estimated and controlled.
Collaborates with customers, vendors, industry consultants and senior company management to define service levels.
Integrates activities with business units and other IT departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts.
Provide thought leadership to business stakeholders about emerging trends in technology as aligned to strategy.
Creates a team environment.
Mentors managers and customers.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
Master’s degree or equivalent is highly preferred.
10+ years of IT experience including development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms. Significant experience and knowledge in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures emphasizing the PC.
8+ years of experience in project management and execution involving multiple major development projects.
5+ years of management experience in which one or more of the following occurred: demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management; successfully developed and implemented applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies; established track-record of managing technical staff through various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable); demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups; managed financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects; demonstrated high competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals; developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
Ability to lead dynamically and energize multidiscipline work teams to learn and apply new skills/techniques to respond to business needs.
