As the Area Product Owner for the ESDD ETL team your primary responsibility will be to proactively work with the Chief Product owner to set the strategic direction for your Core Strategic Imperative, designing and executing on the product roadmap and setting the overall direction.
ESDD is the centralized data hub for Enterprise Systems. ESDD provides high-volume, high-performance enterprise data integration (ETL) capabilities. These capabilities include extracting, transforming and distributing data from and across multiple databases, applications and platforms including on premise and cloud. ESDD Infrastructure is a heterogeneous environment leveraging the Ab Initio toolset having presence on distributed LINUX environments as well as the z/OS mainframe.
Your area will consist of 5 scrum teams, 3 in the United States and 2 in India. You should understand the business value of the book of work and use critical thinking to make informed decisions for your area.
Your key objective as a change agent will be to work across the organization and other customer journeys to engage key partners, establish interdependencies, gather feedback from business and development and establish a successful North Star. Working alongside a Chief Product Owner and a Scrum Master, you will drive an Agile organization (methodology and development processes) and are empowered to change the direction and scope of the project as needed.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 6 years product ownership experience working in a dynamic product or service environment
Minimum of 6 years experience working as a product owner in an Agile software development environment
Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions, take accountability for those decisions while candidly challenging the status quo to drive the right employee and customer journey outcomes
Extensive service improvement and design thinking knowledge with ability to rapidly and iteratively test solutions
An excellent communicator (written and oral) with ability to fluidly interact with senior leaders, key stakeholders, employees and third party vendors
Strong technical acumen and understanding of modern software technology. Familiarity with ETL technologies like Ab Initio, Informatica etc. will be a plus.
Demonstrated experience with independently overseeing and managing large and complex relationships with internal and external technology partners.
