Company Operations & Systems provides the operations and technology support that contributes to Company being a world-class investment manager. We supply transaction-level support, generate and report investment results and ensure that our investment results are accurately reflected on our books and records.
As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will perform a variety of investment support functions, including accounting, reporting, and analysis. You will work with multiple asset classes, such as equity, fixed income, and asset backed securities in both foreign and USD currencies.
Working in Investment Operations will provide you exposure to many areas of Company including the Company business divisions, Treasury, Finance, Tax, and Legal. Working closely with these teams, you will support the monthly and quarterly close process as well as Enterprise initiatives. In Investment Operations you will receive excellent on the job training and are hands on from day one. You will be challenged every single day and work with talented peers in a high paced and exciting environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Researching and reconciling the accounting related to investment activity in the PAM subledger system to ensure balances are in accordance with GAAP & STAT principles
Responsible for settling and processing trade activity in the PAM accounting system
Preparing and recording manual accounting entries to ensure Oracle general ledger is accurate
Preparing monthly reconciliations of assigned activity between the subledger and Oracle general ledger
Sending out monthly reports to our various business partners across the company, including International subsidiaries
Working with our Systems team on enhancements to the subledger system.
Working closely with our business partners to respond to ad-hoc requests
Participate in internal and external audits of our SOX Key Controls.
Mentor and support developing more junior staff members within the team.
Our successful candidate has:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related concentration preferred and 3 to 4 years work related experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills and can work well in a team environment.
Good organizational and time management skills.
The ability to learn quickly.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
