Company is currently seeking an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Analyst to play a key role on the ETF Due Diligence Team. The team selects, evaluates, and monitors ETFs that may be used by financial advisors and their clients to fulfil their investment strategy. The role is focused on the spectrum of ETF types including equity, fixed income, alternative, and other strategies. The team uses quantitative tools to assess funds and makes qualitative judgments in their analysis.
The candidate must have very strong written and verbal communication skills, comfort with quantitative methods, and a strong interest/understanding of global financial markets. Comfort with advanced excel and Bloomberg integration would be a positive.
The ideal candidate will have a background in/knowledge of ETFs, equity securities, fixed income securities, capital markets, due diligence, and/or investment strategy.
The role will join the team and assist with the coverage process. Responsibilities will include the following:
Maintaining the coverage database and creating reports for others to consume.
Assessing relative performance of ETF products and managers.
Provide implementation insight for advisors and clients.
Writing and editing comprehensive investment manager evaluations and presenting recommendations to investment committees
Interacting with and supporting internal and external partners.
Participating in project management implementation
3-5+ years of experience in financial services (such as asset management, investment bank, endowment/pension fund, rating agencies, manager due diligence, etc).
Very strong writing and communication skills.
A team first approach to meaningfully contribute to a collaborative working environment.
Knowledge on aspects of global equity markets, fundamental valuation analysis, financial modeling, asset allocation, and market research.
Demonstrated analytical orientation. Over time, a person in this role is expected to build and defend well supported investment opinions based on insights drawn from interviews, intellectual curiosity, data analysis and peer group awareness. Additionally, the individual must have an ability to concisely deliver these insights both verbally and in professional written form with little required editing.
Organizational and time management skills in order to meet deadlines.
Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of investment-related statistics.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
MBA, MS, JD, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
CFA Charterholders or candidates preferred, or willingness to work toward CFA designation.
Must have a 7 and 66 or achieve the licenses within 120 days
