Here in North Charleston, SC, Company Vans, LLC is writing an exciting chapter in Daimler’s history as we add the first U.S. van production plant for the Company Sprinter, in addition to our existing assembly operation for Sprinter and METRIS vans. This position is responsible for processing and coordinating tasks related to the Daimler Internal Control System (ICS) and to ensure performance of all FC relevant compliance activities.
Coordinates the activities for Internal Control System (ICS) reporting for MBV in accordance with Daimler AG requirements.
Communicates and consults with Team Members in all departments to ensure documentation and timeline requirements of ICS reporting are met.
Tests design, effectiveness, and completeness of control activities.
Reports on status of Control Activities via ICoM.
Segregation of Duties (SOD): Reviews SAP user requests for compliance with SOD and approval authorizations via GRC. Reviews policies and procedures to ensure SOD is achieved outside of system.
Responsible for department policy management
Support annual updates, and consistency review between corporate and local level policies.
Performs testing of policy compliance, including but not limited to: approval compliance (sign-offs, maverick buy reporting) and support documentation testing, i.e. audit trail support.
Identifies risks and supports developing preventive measures
Creates and performs training on FC policy and procedures within and outside FC, e.g. PR process.
Reports on process performance statistics and KPI’s, e.g. PR workflow approval.
Primary contact for DAG Corporate Audit support for ICS.
Acts as deputy for Financial & Tax Specialist
Interface to external auditors as required.
Perform other related projects and duties as required/requested.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance and/or Accounting, with a minimum of 2 years internal/external audit experience
Or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Knowledge of financial internal controls
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Good communication (verbal and written) skills, both with management and with other departments
Must have a thorough understanding of accounting
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to engage in critical thinking, analysis and problem solving
Must be proactive, responsive and resourceful
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with all levels within the organization
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

Company Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that assembles Sprinter vans for the U.S. market under the brands Company and Freightliner. The midsize Metris van was added to the assembly line in 2015.
Company Vans, LLC announced in March 2015 that it will invest $500 million in construction of a new Sprinter production plant, in addition to an expansion of existing operations. In July 2016, MBV officially broke ground on the site of its new plant, located next to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility will provide up to 1,300 jobs by the end of the decade.
More than 112,000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since 2006. The U.S. is now the second largest market for Sprinter vans, after Germany.
