Job Role and Responsibilities:
Product Marketing plays a critical role in successfully driving products into the marketplace by understanding the current market environment and developing a strategy to drive customer awareness of the value delivered by Company products and solutions. Our team is looking for an product marketing intern to focus on marketing aspects of the Company Cloud on AWS and/or Company Cloud on AWS Outposts services.
Company product marketing managers lead cross-functional teams, set the overall vision for product go-to-market strategy, monitor key performance indicators, understand the dynamics of both direct and channel sales, and influence many teams towards common goals. They are also responsible for driving the marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, packaging, field enablement and evangelism of their product/service. As a product marketing manager, you will work with the corporate marketing, technical marketing, and product management teams to educate sales and channel partners how to sell your product.
Company Cloud on AWS team is looking for an intern to help execute key GTM initiatives to help drive adoption of the service. We have three possible summer projects depending on your interests and experience:
1. Project 1: Perform top down market segmentation, targeting and positioning analysis to identify customer’s propensity and timelines to adopt public cloud services. The analysis would cover all verticals and market segments.
2. Project 2: Analyze marketing/sales pipeline and bookings data to derive actionable insight to accelerate pipeline or expand consumption of the service. Deliver dashboards for marketing and sales to provide visibility into the business by use case, region, sales stage, and other attributes.
3. Project 3: To be determined based on your experience and interests. Following are few examples of possible project areas:
Assist in creating marketing materials including presentations, web pages, collateral, emails, etc.
Drive social media presence, contribute articles, tweets, blogs to drive user awareness and engagement.
Support marketing team in event organization such as webcast, roadshows, sales enablement events, etc.
Provide market research and competitive analysis for the Company Cloud on AWS or Company Cloud on AWS Outposts.
Assist with overall product messaging, positioning, and promotion by investigating different or novel approaches.
Pursuing an MBA with concentration in marketing, corporate finance, operations, technology, or strategy.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to multitask and navigate through ambiguity
Strong social skills, including good communication and the ability to articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner
Motivated self-learner with the passion and follow through to acquire new skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability working with cross-functional teams
Effective presentation skills
Strong quantitative and analytical competency
Prior High-Tech work experience is a plus
