The Industrial Design Intern for Fish / Hunt will work on multiple projects in both hardgood and softgoods. The project workload will be determined once the intern is selected to make sure we are giving them a variety of projects that they are interested in.
Develop and design a finished tech pack and rendering presentation for each project assigned
Trend study and work analyzing the competitive landscape and identifying gaps and solutions
Final 3D model that can be printed and prototyped for an Accessory in the future assortment
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Product or Industrial Design
Strong sketching and visualization skills (digital sketching is a plus)
Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
Experience using design related software such as Adobe illustrator or Solidworks
Must be excited to present ideas to other professionals
Experience and passion for soft goods design and development
Sewing skills and fly fishing experience is a plus
This internship is a 12 week, full-time, paid position located in our Corporate office in Sunderland, Vermont. Internships are planned for the summer months for a 12 week time frame between May and August. Interns should be prepared to find suitable housing and have transportation to get and forth to work.
