We are hiring an Instock Manager who invents and simplifies to solve complex problems, excels at querying and analyzing data to dive deep, and isn't afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to deliver results.
The Instock Manager will be responsible for executing inventory strategies to optimize customer experience, sales, margin and turns. They will be relentlessly focused on delivering high in-stock rates in order to meet the needs of our customers. They will dive deep core drivers of in-stock performance, and proactively identify opportunities to improve tools and work flows. This role interacts closely with retail and operations business partners across Company, and is pivotal to the growth of this strategic initiative.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage inventory availability and inventory health including improved in-stock, turns, vendor operational improvement (efficiency, fill rates, lead time), forecasting, and shrink
Drive strategic initiatives to improve customer experience, enable new capabilities, and reduce waste
Answer complex business questions and make decisions by querying and analyzing large data sets
Work with internal teams to build automated tools and process improvements that will drive scale and reduce error
Manage day-to-day operational relationships with vendors and distributors partners, including product lifecycle management, expanding selection and optimize sourcing recommendations / decisions
Liaison between product categories teams, internal operations business partners and vendor partners
Maintain vendor relationship and work on vendor performance improvement through daily communication, training session, tracking purchase orders, investigating late deliveries, resolving order rejections, working with vendors on PO automation, etc.
Determination of order quantities by taking into account forecasts, historical trends and inventory targets
BA/BS degree required. 2-4 years of experience doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce. The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in SQL and Excel (data analytics). Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and analytical.
Strong proficiency in business intelligence, including creation of complex queries using SQL, validation of data sets, and distillation of data into actionable insights
