The Higher Education Division has an opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated professional to assume the position of Inside Sales Representative. This position is based in the Don Mills office, and will require some travel.
The Inside Sales & Editorial Representative is responsible for maximizing the sales of Company Canada products by driving the usage of textbook resources and online digital products at universities and colleges. Through a mix of direct telephone calling, emailing, and remote product training, the Inside Sales & Editorial Representatives are accountable for researching and prospecting new business for the company and achieving sales targets within budget.
Qualifications
Completion of a post-secondary education
Up to one (1) year work experience
Sales experience is an asset, sales aptitude is required
Valid driver’s license with clean drivers’ abstract
Some travel is required during peak selling seasons
On-line literacy, experience and aptitude to work with new technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service approach
Proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task
Adaptable problem-solver and team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as well as working independently
Desire to succeed in a competitive environment
Strong business planning and prospecting abilities
Experience and strong comfort-level on the telephone is a critical success factor and cannot be overstated. Extensive phone work is a given.
