Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business (LOB) to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution, and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI Sustain Engineering (SE)is responsible for service support and delivery for Company Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, SE provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts. Roles and Responsibiliites
Designing a tailored solution to meet specific client requests
Reviewing business requirements, functional specifications, and test cases to understand the functional and technical performance requirements in order to analyze the performance of the application and verify those requirements are successfully met
Leading in the evaluation, selection, implementation, integration, maintenance, upgrade, documentation, troubleshooting and design of all infrastructure
Coordinating with project leadership to ensure that capacity management activities and resources are integrated into overall project plan and schedule
Supporting and defining performance test scripts, documents defects and identifies solutions where the actual results do not successfully meet expected outcome
Interacting with internal customers
Providing effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue
Documenting small-to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision
Dissecting complex situations and refocuses on critical technology tasks
Proficient knowledge and understanding in the following key areas:
10+ Years overall technology experience
5+ years of experience with NetBackup v6.x and 7.x. Experience with tools like Symantec OpsCenter, Aptare etc.
Experience with Backup provisioning in NetBackup and TSM.
Strong Experience in scripting (shell, Perl, python etc. ) to automate the backup service requirement.
5+ years of experience in distributed storage environments OR 3+ years of experience in an associated technology (Server, Networks)
3+ years of experience with problem resolution in large scale production environment
AIX/Solaris/LINUX & Windows NetBackup Media server problem management experience
