Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner
GTI Sustained Engineering (SE) focus on the end-to-end engineering and operations of our critical systems and products as well as production management activities, including incident, problem, change and crisis management processes, and asset lifecycle management. Sustained Engineering provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
As a senior member of an agile Infrastructure Development team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Development Lifecycle of innovative software-defined Infrastructure services. You will be involved from concept Design, through Development, Integration and Operation of automated Infrastructure-centric products & services. You will ensure team goals are met and best practices, architectural design standards, data, risk and security management policies are adhered to. You will be instrumental in designing, developing and testing software, solving complex technical issues, building data models & APIs
The ideal applicant will be an experienced Full-Stack Python Developer who also has knowledge of Infrastructure & Database systems, DevOps practices & automation tools as well as experience working in an agile development team. We would also like to hear from applicants who are non-expert in Python but possess experience & skills in at least one other OOP language such as Java, C++ or .Net and who enjoy finding software solutions to large scale business problems.

Core Technical Skills required:
In depth knowledge & practical experience of Python Development, including web frameworks such as Django or Flask
Experience of designing, creating & consuming REST APIs and documenting using open API specification tools, eg: swagger
Experience of SQL and working with one or more type of RDBMS – Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, DB2, MySQL/Maria etc
Unix Shell and/or PowerShell scripting
Experience with developing applications for the public and private cloud
Experienced in using Test Driven Development techniques and automating Unit/Integration tests
Experience with using Continuous Integration/Delivery frameworks
Experience in managing code using Version Control Systems eg: Git
Working knowledge of Atlassian toolsets for software development (Jira, BitBucket & Confluence)
Automation using Ansible or similar technologies
Working knowledge of Agile software development practices
An understanding & practical working knowledge of distributed Operating Systems (Unix/Linux & Windows)
Experience using & integrating software with security and entitlements systems such as SSO, LDAP, AD
Understanding of Client/Server Architectures, Middleware, Networks & Storage systems
Additional advantageous skills:
Experienced developer of enterprise software in an OO language: (Java, .Net, C++ etc.)
Experience with coaching & mentoring team members in SDLC and Software engineering best practices
An understanding of Database Architecture & Resiliency
Experience in Systems or Infrastructure Operations & Engineering
Prior Financial services industry experience.
