The Industrial Security Compliance Office has an immediate need for highly motivated individual to be a member if the Industrial Security Compliance Office (ISCO) and serve as the Security lead interfacing with the Integrated Power System Program.
The Information Security Professional will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Security Compliance oversight. These aspects may include: application of the DoD National industrial Security Program (NISP), US Government contract security policies, company security policies and procedures, and other government guidance sources. As part of the Electric Boat (EB) Industrial Security Compliance Team, the individual will participate in administrative inquires, investigations, security audits and corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
The individual will be required to interact with DoD and other government agencies regarding the protection of controlled unclassified and classified information. The individual must be comfortable briefing all levels of management on classification issues and classification requirements for sensitive technologies and processes. Must exercise sound judgement, work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Classification management: Maintain, interpret and enforce classification management requirements and program directives.
Documents accountability: Document marking procedures, reproduction and dissemination.
Administer security education and awareness training and conduct self-inspections.
Provide guidance to ensure compliance with the NISPOM, the EB Security Manual, and other applicable guidance sources.
Conduct investigation into incidents involving the improper handling of classified information.
Generate and provide written incident reports to the Defense Security Services and other government agencies.
Conduct root cause analysis and determine corrective actions for security incidents.
Provide direction to individuals and departments involved in security incidents.
Assists in resolving and compliance issues, as well as, developing processes, documentation and reports.
Drive the development of solutions, and coordinating and monitoring remediation of identified security gaps.
BS Degree OR equivalent 4+ years of experience and/or formal security training conducted by professional security organization such as DSS, ASIS, or NCMS
